When Sony sought to realize SACD, they enlisted Ed Meitner, a foremost expert in digital converter design. Collaborating closely with Sony and Philips, EMM Labs refined SACD’s capabilities, setting the standard for sonic purity. They pioneered the first complete multichannel DSD playback system and earned acclaim for high-resolution audio products. The DV2i and TXi are made to work together: the TXi reads the disc and sends the data over EMM’s galvanically isolated Optilink to the DV2i, which then controls the transport over RS232, so the pair works as one player.
The DV2i converts at 16x DSD (DSD1024) with EMM Labs’ own discrete dual differential DACs and a Class A output stage. Its VControl volume lets it drive a power amplifier directly, and a built-in streamer plays from Roon, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect and Qobuz.
The TXi has a hybrid top-loading and drawer mechanism with an integrated suspension, in a damped, machined aluminum chassis with a low-noise power supply.

The PREi is EMM Labs’ most refined analog preamplifier: fully discrete, dual-balanced signal paths, contactless switching and the MVControl³ all-analog volume control, on custom ceramic circuit boards, with three balanced and three single-ended inputs.
The MTRS is a stereo Class A/B power amplifier with no overall feedback, 330 W RMS per channel into 4 ohms (400 W dynamic), built around Ed Meitner’s redesigned high-current power driver. It stays stable into loads down to 1 ohm.
Both are designed and built in Canada, in silver or black.
