High-end amplification from Italy.
Hybrid triode and solid-state circuits, zero feedback and pure Class A, in every Riviera design.

The APL01 Special Edition is Riviera’s ultimate preamplifier: an all-tube, Class A, zero-feedback SRPP circuit with an oversized linear power supply built around a transformer of about 200 VA.
The APL1 is an all-tube line preamplifier with a double pi-filter stabilized power supply and output transformers, two transformer-coupled balanced inputs, three unbalanced inputs, a tape loop and remote control.
Both keep Riviera’s zero-feedback, pure Class A design, and the APL01 SE’s power supply adds a double inductive pi filter.

Every Riviera power amplifier is a hybrid design, with triodes for voltage gain and BJT and MOSFET devices for power, running in pure Class A with zero feedback.
The flagship AFM100 Special Edition (100 W into 8 ohms) and the AFM50 (50 W) are monoblocks, one per loudspeaker, each with a true balanced XLR input and an RCA input.
The AFM100 SE measures 26 x 58.5 x 27.5 cm and weighs 35 kg; the AFM50 measures 26 x 43.5 x 27.5 cm and weighs 22.5 kg.
The AFM25 brings the same monoblock design to 25 W into 8 ohms, in a compact 26 x 43.5 x 14.5 cm chassis.
The AFS32 is Riviera’s stereo amplifier: 2 x 32 W into 8 ohms or 2 x 64 W into 4 ohms from a single chassis, with two balanced and two unbalanced inputs.
Larger, harder-to-drive loudspeakers generally call for the higher-power monoblocks.

The AIC10Bal is an integrated amplifier built for headphones, with nothing in the circuit that could compromise purity: no internal DAC and no superfluous controls.
Each channel’s voltage gain comes from a pure triode in Class A, and its power stage uses devices that can dissipate 150 W continuously. The power supply pairs an oversized transformer with a pi filter and more than 65,000 µF of capacitance.
Like every Riviera design it runs with zero overall feedback, and it can also drive loudspeakers directly.
It has one balanced (XLR) and two unbalanced (RCA) line inputs, balanced and ¼-inch headphone outputs and switchable loudspeaker outputs, in a 26 x 43.5 x 14.5 cm chassis weighing 14.4 kg.
What types of components does Riviera Audio Labs make?
Riviera Audio Labs produces line preamplifiers such as the APL1 and APL01 Special Edition, power amplifiers including the AFM series and AFS32, and a headphone amplifier, the AIC10Bal, all built for two-channel systems.
Is Riviera Audio Labs an Italian brand?
Yes, Riviera Audio Labs is an Italian manufacturer of high-end amplification components, and Bending Wave USA carries the line for two-channel listeners in South Florida.
Does Bending Wave USA carry the full Riviera Audio Labs lineup?
Yes. Bending Wave USA in Boca Raton carries the Riviera Audio Labs lineup, including its preamplifiers, power amplifiers, and headphone amplifier.
How much do Riviera Audio Labs components cost?
Riviera’s two-channel lineup spans roughly $22,000 for the AIC10Bal headphone amp up to nearly $95,000 for the flagship AFM100 Special Edition power amplifier, with several preamp and amp tiers in between.
What is Riviera Audio Laboratories, and what makes its amplifiers different?
Riviera Audio Laboratories is an Italian high-end electronics manufacturer whose amplifiers and preamplifiers combine hybrid triode/solid-state (BJT and MOSFET) circuitry with a zero-feedback, pure Class A topology. Bending Wave USA in Boca Raton, Florida carries the full Riviera line, from the entry-level AFM25 monoblock to the flagship AFM100 Special Edition.
How do I choose between the Riviera AFM25, AFM50, AFM100 Special Edition, and AFS32 power amplifiers?
It comes down to power output and configuration. The AFM25 (25W/8Ω), AFM50 (50W/8Ω), and AFM100 Special Edition (100W/8Ω) are monoblock amplifiers requiring one chassis per channel, while the AFS32 is Riviera’s stereo amplifier, delivering 2x32W at 8 ohms (2x64W at 4 ohms) from a single chassis. Larger, harder-to-drive speakers generally call for one of the higher-wattage monoblocks, while the AFS32 suits systems favoring a single stereo chassis.
What does “hybrid design” and “Zero Feedback” mean on a Riviera amplifier?
On Riviera’s AFM and AFS models, “hybrid design” means the circuitry mixes triode vacuum-tube stages with BJT and MOSFET solid-state devices. “Zero Feedback” means the amplifier omits the global negative-feedback loop many solid-state designs use to correct distortion electronically, while still running fully in Class A.
Does Bending Wave USA carry Riviera preamplifiers and a headphone amplifier too, not just power amps?
Yes. Alongside its four Riviera power amplifiers, the Boca Raton showroom also carries two Riviera line preamplifiers — the all-tube APL1 and flagship APL01 Special Edition — and the AIC10Bal headphone amplifier. The AIC10Bal is a hybrid Class A integrated amplifier built for headphones that can also drive loudspeakers directly.
