WADAX

More than a decade of work on lowering the noise floor of digital playback.
The Atlantis Reference system and the Studio • Player Collection bring digital music closer to live performance.

Studio • Player Collection

A CD/SACD player, streamer and DAC in one chassis, built on the conversion circuitry of the Atlantis Reference DAC.

Studio • Player Collection

Disc Player, Streamer and DAC

The Studio • Player is the heart of the collection: a CD and SACD player, streamer and DAC in a single chassis, using the same digital-to-analog circuitry as the Atlantis Reference DAC.

It is certified for direct playback from Spotify, Tidal and Qobuz, so you play music from each service’s own app, and any device running those apps can act as the remote.

The collection grows with your system: the Studio PSU, the Studio Clock and the Akasa DC Studio cable each take its performance further.

Streaming draws on technology developed for the Atlantis Reference Server. Because the Studio • Player works with each service’s own app instead of separate management software, it needs fewer updates, and switching services is as simple as switching apps.

Its disc drive reads Red Book CDs and Scarlet Book SACDs, so music you own on disc, much of it available nowhere else, stays part of your library.

Atlantis Reference

The Atlantis Reference DAC is built around WADAX’s musIC feed-forward error correction, with fully independent dual-mono conversion and analog circuits, separately housed left and right channels and power supplies, and a modular design that can be upgraded. It holds 23 circuit boards, 10 purpose-wound transformers and more than 5,500 parts.

The Atlantis Reference Server applies the same approach to streaming and file playback, isolating the digital signal from noise, vibration and power-supply artefacts in a future-proof card-cage construction.

The Reference Power Supply is the quietest WADAX has built: under full load, the noise on its DC output is below 100 nV (0.01 Hz – 20 kHz). Almost 1,500 parts sit in a precision-machined, mechanically damped, three-part chassis, designed around the Reference Server.

Akasa DC Reference cables carry that power to the Reference DAC or Server, with long-crystal silver-gold alloy conductors and damped connectors that keep new noise out.
