The SuperSwitch X builds on the multi award-winning SuperSwitch Pro platform. Like the SuperSwitch, it is a dual-shielded audiophile network switch that sits just before your streamer, removing EMI and RFI noise before it can reach your DAC.
As the X suggests, its case is twice as thick, 10 mm instead of 5 mm, for more rigidity, almost double the weight and better shielding against radiated RFI. The circuitry is set in non-conductive resin to damp micro-vibrations, and aluminium and silicone feet add stability, with an optional upgrade to threaded Stack Audio Auva EQ isolators.
It comes with the Pro X PSU, an upgraded fully linear supply with a matching 10 mm case and a 25% larger audio-grade transformer. With the switch on top, 20 mm of aluminium separates the switch circuitry from the supply, and a 60 cm RakuDC PRO cable connects the two.
