TXi

The TXi is EMM Labs’ CD transport, made as the companion to its latest converters. It sends the data with precise timing over EMM’s galvanically isolated Optilink connection to the DV2i or DA2i, and the converter becomes its user interface through an RS232 link, so the pair works as one player.

The mechanism is a hybrid of top-loader and drawer, with an integrated suspension for accurate playback and long-term stability, in an internally damped, machined aluminum chassis. A next-generation Meitner X-Power supply, designed and built in-house, keeps noise and ripple to a minimum from disc to DAC.

Force-eject and service buttons on the rear panel and firmware that updates in the field keep it in service for years. Designed and built in Canada.
